What To Expect

What might you learn in a Horse Brain Science Seminar/Clinic?

You will intimately learn about and see important structures in the horses brain and how those structures allow your horse to perceive, feel, understand, process, move and learn.

You will learn how to optimize your communication and to be clear in what you ask of horses based on brain function.

You will learn to deepen your relationship by creating an environment built on trust and feeling safe. By using your horse’s brain functioning and neurochemistry you will learn how to help them reset their nervous system and self regulate their own behavior.

Learn to tap into your horses curiosity and exploration creating brain growth within your partner. In a two and a half day clinic you are likely to see horses that become familiar with new scary objects (not desensitization!) and horses being saddled for the first time with a good experience without the bucking and dust.

Guaranteed to grow new dendrites and neural connections in you and your horse’s brains!!

The EBH Approach

Evidence-based approaches are widely used in science and medicine to identify and implement best practices. These practices are grounded in empirical evidence, meaning they are evaluated based on real-world outcomes rather than theoretical assumptions. Clinical observations, supported by the latest scientific knowledge, help establish standardized methods that connect scientific research with practical application.

Anyone can engage in this process by asking, “What does our current scientific understanding of the horse, when applied and observed in practice, reveal about achieving the best possible outcomes for both horse and rider?” Over time, best practices should become accessible across all aspects of horse training and care. Ultimately, a deeper understanding built on high-quality information will lead to better welfare for our horses.
